Thank you!

We YOU did it!

The Cards For Prisoners 8th Annual Pen Pal Palooza took place on November 12th. We were overwhelmed with gratitude for the 58 people who took time out of their day to join us, as well as our volunteers, Amina, Bill, Chris, Judy, Laura and Lil who were the most organized, patient and helpful volunteers you could ever imagine! Shout out to Troy and Tony who shared with us what it means to receive a card in prison. Their heartfelt sharing touched our hearts (and tear ducts!)

Pen Pal Palooza (or P3 as we call it) began in my living room with my family and some friends writing, addressing, sealing, and applying postage to 52 Christmas cards for inmates. Last Tuesday our volunteers prepared 1,731 cards to send to our friends on the inside! All that was accomplished in just five hours!

All who attended were invited to donate a book or roll of stamps and in turn were entered into a drawing for a door prize. (3,243 Forever stamps were donated!). Congratulations to Pat I. from Hudsonville who was the lucky winner!

Please join us next November for our 9th annual Pen Pal Palooza!

Grace & Peace,

Paula
